You may not even want to leave The Homestead once you arrive.  If you do, however, there is so much to see in and around New Berlin, NY and within 90 minutes, including historic Cooperstown and the National Baseball Hall of Fame, which is just 25 minutes away. Along the way to your destinations, Central New York has some of the most beautiful scenery in New York State, along with museums, libraries, natural wonders like waterfalls and lakes, places of pilgrimage, Amish neighborhoods, markets, and much more.  The Beardslee Homestead is also the perfect place to stay if you are coming to Upstate New York for a college graduation.  Colgate University, Hamilton College, Cornell University, Ithaca College, Syracuse University, SUNY Binghamton, SUNY Oneonta, SUNY Delhi, SUNY Upstate Medical College, Utica College, and Lemoyne College are all from 25 to 90 minutes from the Homestead, with most under one hour.
